October? No. It can’t be. I am in serious denial. Yet here it is. Leaves turning, weather getting colder and still I can’t believe we’re here in fall. Fall has innate the ability to force me into cleaning, purging and organizing before the temperature drops to below zero and outside is something you have to bundle up for. I went through the basement today, kicking off my October purge. Here on the blog, I’m helping you get organized this October by hosting my first giveaway. I’ll be giving away one copy of Once-a-Month Cooking Family Favorites this week. It is sure to help you organize your menu plan and keep your fridge stocked and organized. Enter here!
Monday – French toast bake, sausage patties, fresh fruit salad
Tuesday – Chicken Cordon Bleu, spring mix salads, garlic toast
Wednesday – Ole’s sister will be here for dinner up from Arizona. We haven’t determined whether we’ll be feeding them or going out yet, so this day is up in the air.
Thursday – Herb-crusted beef tenderloin, individual scalloped potatoes, more salad
Friday – Italian sausage and peppers, spinach tortellini in a garlic cream sauce
Last week here at Food for My Family I shared a cake my grandma used to make every fall, zwetschgenkuchen, plum kuchen or simply plum cake and the Turkey Milanese from a few weeks back. I still have Ahi tuna potstickers yet to come.
